Old Oakland has been the setting for several commercials in recent years. Just this October, Lincoln shot an automobile commercial on the corner of 9th and Washington. You may not know that the Bookmark Bookstore was used as part of the setting for a Volkswagen Golf commercial in 2009. We liked the way they configured the front of the store for the shoot so much that we used part of the funds earned from the commercial to give the storefront a mini-facelift.
