Annual dues start at $25 for individuals, with special prices for full-time students and seniors.

Full-time Students: $15

Recommend a Grant from Your Donor-Advised Fund

Bequests, IRA/Retirement Accounts, and Other Planned Gifts

To make a gift through your will or living trust, specify “The Friends of the Oakland Public Library, Tax ID 94-2553734, located in Oakland, California.”
Naming the Friends as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of your retirement plan assets may be advantageous from a tax-planning perspective.
The Friends of the Oakland Public Library is eligible to receive qualified charitable distributions (QCD) from an eligible Individual Retirement Account (IRA) that is owned by an individual who is age 70½ or over.
