Bookmark Bookstore Volunteers Needed
We're seeking volunteers to assist with projects relating to the move-in to our recently relocated bookstore at 933 Broadway in Old Oakland. Primarily, we need volunteers who are comfortable lifting and moving heavy items such as boxes of books. Secondarily, we need volunteers to help organize shelves, sort donations, and take regular shifts during open store hours. The Bookmark is owned and operated by the Friends of the OPL. We have a store manager and 150+ volunteers. Bookstore volunteers perform a variety of tasks during their three hour/week shifts.
